counting down the days to Wonderwool

HI, Every year I have the 'will I get to Wonderwool' jitters, mainly due to not being a driver and there being a few problems getting there by public transport ie not even a taxi on the Sunday to get you back to the train station. The first time I went with friends Sally and Pete, the next year Pete and myself packed our tents and travelled with fellow spinners from Spinnotts. This year we've been offered a lift with friends so the tents are being packed again ready :-)

Wonderwool is probably the biggest of the fibre festivals in this country and is held at the Royal Welsh Showground on 28-29 April and is fast becoming something of a Mecca for spinners and Knitters. Everything for the spinner from wheels to fleece, everything for the knitter from needles to yarn and most other fibre crafts make an appearance as well! We often help out at the Ravelry interactive stand raising money for the Air Ambulance by showing people how to make felt, blend fibres, spin on a wheel or spindle.

Also, there is the wonderful welsh countryside to admire on the way there and back ( as well as fields full of sheep!!)
